So what has happened in my life? Well, EJBJOCD (Epic Journey to Bring the Joy Of Cosplay to Dunedin) has passed us and as it stands 83% of those who attended got ill with either a cold or flu of some variety.
That said, much fun was had in spite of that. Although I feel Dunedin doesn't have much to offer, we managed to fill a weekend with much fun and adventure for the cosplayers that came to visit from Christchurch, we even made the daily newspaper. But first, my girlfriend came down to visit during her school holidays.
As part of celebration of her arrival I cooked her favourite dish for dinner and we had a good first night together. The sad thing was the following day she had gotten ill due to a lack of sleep and we had to take it easy that day.
The rest of the week up until EJBJOCD, I took her around the sights of Dunedin, which included the Butterfly Exhibit (where my camera fogged up something major), The Chinese Gardens (twice) and Baldwin Street, the World's Steepest Street.
Come Friday, we went to the University to take photos of my Ashford!Lelouch cosplay since we didn't have enough time, nor a photographer to journey to the Octagon for a Zero and Kallen cosplay photoshoot before we had to pick up the cosplayers from Chch that were coming via bus while
Before heading back to our flat, we decided to give me some short time to do a quick photoshoot on campus before we found out
The 2nd day of EJBJOCD, which was essentially the main day of it started early as we went to the Cadbury Chocolate Gala at the Sports Center. Again, small group of cosplayers gathered the attention of the media and the local daily newspaper took photos of us which appeared in the Tuesday Paper. We also had photoshoots at the Railway Station (where we finally recovered the sleeping bag for
3rd and final day was packing up and cleaning. My Jade Curtiss cosplay unfortunately broke a button partway through but had later been mended with the help of
After that, there was only one day left to spend with my girlfriend... and as luck would have it she fell ill like almost everyone that was present at the weekend. So I took care of her for her last day here and she got significantly better in the morning and I saw her off in the afternoon... Now I miss her and won't see her again until Auckgeddon.
Other than that, I've been addicted to Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires, loving officer mode much more than ruler mode due to all the other things you can do by comparison which I thought brought a nice change to the Empires part of the series. Still intend to play more before I get Tales of Vesperia which comes out this week hopefully, if there are no more delays.

There is no meaning in our world
And no meaning in us who live there
We, meaningless, think of the world
Although knowing that there is no meaning there
Is even meaningless itself
